Rossitsa Valkanova graduated in 1982 from the National Academy of Theatre and Film, Sofia as film director in a class led by H. Hristov, G. Dulgerov & M. Kiselov. Directed several shorts and documentaries before founding a production company, KLAS Film in 1995.
