Semir Aslanyürek，His father was an civil engineer. Semir studied at the All Union State institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow. He's a Director, actor, script writer, sculptor, painter and great cook. Currently working in Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty, Department of Cinema as professor.
