Andy Fairweather-Low learned to play guitar and began his music career in a band called The Taffbeats. He came to fame as the singer in the band Amen Corner, who had hit singles between 1967 and 1969 with "Gin House Blues", "The World Of Broken Hearts", "Bend Me Shape Me", "High In The Sky", "(If Paradise Is) Half As Nice" and "Hello Suzie".
