Clara Tabody was born in Rákospalota, Hungary. She studied dancing and went to the Performing Art and Dancing Academy. Her first success she had in Budapest, Hungary, at the Király-Theater in the operetta "Kadettenliebe" ("Cadet Love"), but her big career began actually in the 30s in Berlin, Germany.
