劳伦斯·奥利弗（Laurence Olivier，1907年5月22日—1989年7月11日），出生于英国伦敦，英国导演、制片人、演员。 1922年出演 莎士比亚的戏剧《 驯悍记》初登舞台。1926年加入伯明翰剧团。1929年首次在 百老汇登台表演；同年步入影坛，并试图向好莱坞进发。1931年拍摄首部好莱坞影片《黄色护照》。1937年与 费雯·丽合作战争影片《 英伦战火》；加入伦敦老维克剧团。1939年主演改编自 艾米莉·勃朗特同名小说影片《 呼啸山庄》。1940年与 琼·芳登合作拍摄了 希区柯克的悬疑影片《 蝴蝶梦》；同年主演了英国作家 简·奥斯汀的同名小说改编影片《 傲慢与偏见》。1944年自导自演的莎翁影片《 亨利五世》获得了 奥斯卡荣誉奖和最佳男主角奖提名。1947年被伊丽莎白公主授予骑士爵位的演员。1948年凭借自导自演的莎翁影片《 哈姆雷特》获得了奥斯卡最佳导演提名、 奥斯卡最佳男主角奖和 奥斯卡最佳影片奖。1955年凭借自导自演的莎翁影片《 理查三世》再次获得奥斯卡提名。1970年被英国女王 伊丽莎白二世授予 勋爵贵族头衔。1979年获得 第51届奥斯卡金像奖“特别成就奖”。1981年被授予 勋章。1984年他的名字被英国戏剧及音乐剧最高奖命名为“ 劳伦斯·奥利弗奖”。 1989年7月11日，劳伦斯·奥利弗于英格兰西萨塞克斯郡 布莱顿病逝，享年82岁。1999年，在 美国电影学会推出的“ 百年来最伟大的男演员”榜单上位列第14位。
