Justin Reed was born in Mobile, Alabama. He lived there until he was 20 at which point he moved to Tampa, Florida in October of 2004. After having reconstructive shoulder surgery in August 2005, he moved back to Mobile, Alabama and went through extensive physical therapy. While in Mobile he attended the University of South Alabama.
