Luc Robert Poirier was born Lucas Killian-Yves Poirier in Montreal, Quebec, Canada of French and Irish parentage. He graduated business school and found work at CBS Radio affiliate WSUN in Tampa, FL selling ads then shortly thereafter an opportunity to work on-air came his way and he became "Kyle Lucas", a prime time country-radio personality.
