Marianne Tatum was born in Houston, Texas, attended the prestigious Kinkaid Preparatory School there, then moved to New York to attend college at Manhattan School of Music. After her debut with the Houston Grand Opera as Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro, she made her Broadway Debut as Jenny Lind in Barnum, winning a Theatre World Award.
