Brian Maurer was born in Moreno Valley, California on September 25 of 1982. He lived in Blue Springs, Missouri as a child, and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia for both undergrad (English) and master's (Education). His interest in writing and filmmaking came shortly after his BA.
