Damon Cox，Born in Barrie Ontario and growing up in rural communities, films were his escape and influenced him greatly. His mother was an artist and pushed him to pursue his passion. In 2007 he spent almost 3 years working with independent filmmaker Bashar Shbib. His work is influenced by filmmakers like Harmony Korine and Werner Herzog.
