Playing for Change is a musical journey of discovery that celebrates the freedom and lives of street musicians existing in America today. Focusing on the three cities of Los Angeles, New Orleans & New York, Playing for Change captures an array of musical styles and human moments that would otherwise slip through the cracks of society. 纪录了美国的街头音乐表演的现状，这是一次自由的发现新音乐，不受主流和商业化音乐左右的灰色区域，主要记录了在美国的三个城市，洛杉矶，新奥尔良，纽约的街头艺人的生活和他们的才能，他们的想法和对音乐的热爱。 导演分别采录了几位有才能的乐手的表演，最后合成了一首极其精彩的单曲。音乐制作其实就是这么简单，不需要迎合唱片业与听众的喜好，努力表达自己的艺术想法，用心投入，就能作出好音乐。
