Vladimir Ganev was born on September 14, 1947 in the town Burgas, Bulgaria. In 1965 he graduated from high school and during the period 1968-1971 was a student in Civil Engineering Institute in Sofia. In the same period he worked as an assistant with the cameraman Hristo Totev in Bulgarian TV.
