介绍

李镇男,Aaron was brought up in a family of martial artists and practiced traditional Kung Fu styles since a young age. He learned Shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Northern and Southern Mantis from his uncle and Wushu from his aunt. At the age of 17 Aaron met a Wing Chun master of the Jiu Wan lineage and became his 5th and last closed student. Wing Chun’s direct and effective strikes instantly appealed to him which became the core of his martial arts. Aaron never believed in sticking to a single martial art. He believed that everyone is different and no single martial art can be tailored to fit. A martial artist should not be limited by tradition and form and should explore what is available to him to learn and keep what is useful and discard what is not. Aaron took up western boxing where he trained with the senior boxing squad. He also pursued kick boxing in Hong Kong and trained Muay Thai in Thailand where he trained and fought with ranked Lumpini fighters. Bruce Lee’s literature has had a huge influence on Aaron’s training regime. Nowadays, Aaron continues his practice but has simplified his routine to focus on speed and power in striking techniques. A punch is just a punch, a kick is just a kick. Fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks, but fear the man who has practiced a kick 10,000 times. ACTOR FOR FILM Aaron’s love for film was heavily influenced by Hong Kong cinema of the 1980’s and 90’s. He looked up to actors like Andy Lau and Chow Yun Fat and action stars like Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Sammo Hung and Donnie Yen. But he was an introverted character and his parents wanted him to live a simple life; work in an office and focus on earning money. So he could never express himself as an actor or live out his passion for film. Having worked in a top financial firm, ran a restaurant and owned his own business; Aaron thought enough was enough. He would try his hand in film or completely forget about it. At the end of 2010 he literally packed his bags to leave for Hong Kong to pursue his dream as an actor. But at this time a close friend of his asked him to go with him to an open audition for the Keanu Reeves movie - 47 Ronin. Aaron was called back for a martial arts audition where he scored an “A“ and was accepted as part of the movies team of Special Action Performers. In 2011, Aaron started training in the Sanford Meisner acting technique which was an eye opener for him. This helped him get in touch with his emotions and express himself truthfully as an actor. His acting ability started to shine through and he was getting recognition as an actor as well fight performer. Aaron now works behind the camera as a fight choreographer and co-ordinator as well as in front as an actor and screen fighter.
